Charles Ervin Rouse

Charles Ervin Rouse, age 86, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his home north of Green City, Missouri. Charles was born on November 6, 1934 in Worthington, Missouri to Clarence and Anna (Sparks) Rouse. In 1952 he married Phyllis Juanita Barnhart and she preceded him in death on June 30, 2014. He was survived by three children, Davin Rouse of Green City, Tressa Catalani (Phillip) of Loves Park, Illinois and Sandra Dixon (Danny Sizemore) of Green City; grandchildren, Jessica Edmonds (Rick), Jeremy O’Day (Meagan), Jason Thornton (Katie), Christie Enright (John), Amy Jo Rouse and Wesley Rouse; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother Clarence Rouse Jr. of Queen City, MO, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Leslie Ervin Rouse, grandchildren; Jennie (Lee) Rouse, and Jamie Lee Parker Rouse, four brothers; Nova Rouse, Bert Rouse, James Rouse, and Elvin Rouse; three sisters, Eva Salvang, Mona Ramsey, and Ruby Ruggles.

Charles grew up in Worthington, MO and moved to Rockford Illinois when he was 17 years old. He worked as a mechanic, carpenter and was also a fisherman while residing there. He moved to Florida where he was employed as a salesman for several years. He later moved back to his home in Missouri.

He liked to hunt, fish, and restore old cars. He enjoyed motorcycles and playing music. He loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow in the Rose Cemetery north of Novinger, Missouri. A scheduled visitation will be from 12:00 P.M., Friday until the time of service.
