Max Kenworthy

Max Kenworthy, 21, of Unionville, Missouri, died in a one vehicle automobile accident on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Max Lee Kenworthy was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 25, 1999, the son of Robbie and Melissa (Kruger) Kenworthy. Max grew up in Unionville and graduated from Putnam County High School in 2019, where he enjoyed Ag classes and being with friends. He was awarded the Anthony Widner Memorial for a young person who loved life and took on all its challenges. Max was easy to like and had a warm and engaging grin. He loved the Lord from early in his life and was active at Omaha Baptist church. He was a state winner in Bible Drills three years in a row. Max’s passion was Rodeo Bible Camp where he rode bulls every year. He was a great encourager to his fellow bull riders often shouting “Yeah, boys, that’s how it’s done!” Max embraced all of life with lots of energy and enthusiasm. He loved doing anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and riding 4-wheelers. He was larger than life and handled situations with his favorite saying “It’ll buff.” He loved to hang out with his friends and was especially respectful of elders. Max moved to Kansas after graduation and was working at National Beef in St. Joseph where he came to work every day with a smile and encouraging spirit.

Max is survived by his parents, Melissa & Jeremy Jones, of Unionville and his father, Robbie (fiancé Gina Kuykendall) Kenworthy of Atchison, Kansas. He is also survived by his siblings: John Jones, Jacob Jones, Kile Kenworthy, Kristin (Travis Hill) Polk, Cortney (Dustin) Clark, Adrienne (fiancé Kyle Sands) Jones, Miranda (Steven Vo) Figueroa, and Kalee Kenworthy. He is also survived by his special friend, Hope Moorshead and faithful canine friend, Amiga.
