Susan Ann (Pickens) Snowbarger, 70 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
The daughter of Lewis Lee and Helen (Ritter) Pickens, she was born on August 24, 1952 in Kirksville, Missouri. She was a 1972 graduate of the Schuyler R-I School in Lancaster, Missouri.
In July 1968 in Glenwood, Missouri, Susan was united in marriage to Carl Gottman and to this union one daughter was born, Lezlea. On October 14, 1984 Susan was united in marriage to William Edward Snowbarger.
Survivors include her husband, William Edward Snowbarger (Bill) of Kirksville, Missouri; two daughters, Lezlea Poe and husband, Garry of Downing, Missouri and Michelle Whitlock of Lancaster, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Ashten Davis and husband, Jeff of Downing, Missouri, Makenzie Daniels and husband, Logan of Queen City, Missouri, Acacia Oliver and husband, Kalibe of Stuart, Iowa, Corbin Bulechek of Lancaster, Missouri and Hannah Whitlock of Maryville, Missouri; 6 great grandchildren, Hadley and Paxton Davis, Chip and Temple Daniels, Brixxon and Brynleigh Oliver; 2 sisters, Cathy Jo Farley and husband, Gail of Downing, Missouri and Janis Current of Queen City, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Alberta Dotson of Queen City, Missouri; 2 brothers-in-law, Jim Goodell of Corydon, Iowa and Jeffrey Snowbarger and wife, Teresa of Macon, Missouri; 1 sister-in-law, Julie Winn and husband, Terry of Novinger, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Freedom Rojas and husband, Richard, Jeremy Frederick and wife, Tracie, Angela Shea and husband, Tim, Jacqueline Leasure and husband, Bryan, Patrick and Trevor Snowbarger, Xavier Hillocks, Richie Rojas and Jason Snowbarger; many great nieces and nephews and other family members.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Diane Barnhart and Sandra Goodell; one brother-in-law, Mitchel Snowbarger; nephews, Derick Farley, Luke Leasure and Gail Barnhart; her grandparents, Lee and Winnie Pickens, William and Josephine (Casterita) Ritter and father-in-law, Glen Dotson.
Susan was a member of the Glenwood Methodist Church in Glenwood, Missouri.
Susan was the owner and operator of Susan’s Style Salon in Lancaster, Missouri for 15 years and then moved to San Diego, California where she was owner and real estate broker for S & D Property Management in San Diego, California.
