Charlotte Layman

Charlotte Layman, age 77, was born in Quincy, Illinois on August 24th 1943. She entered Heaven’s gates on January 11, 2021, at LaBelle, MO.

A loving mother and homemaker, Charlotte treasured time with her family and close friends. She enjoyed singing classic Gospel and Country songs, and playing her guitar. In her early years she was an exceptional roller-skater and in later years she enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel. She appreciated the beauty of God’s creation and never turned down the opportunity for a Peanut Buster Parfait from Dairy Queen.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents; Emett and Ruth Meyers Iams. Charlotte is survived by her brother Wendell Iams, her brother Lendell (Zip) Iams, her daughter ChaRae Camp (husband Kerry), her son Landon Freeman, her son Rocky Layman (wife Toni). She is also survived by four grandchildren; Emily Hart (husband Ben), Megan Camp, Charlie Layman, and Isla Moana Layman.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, in New Providence Cemetery in the Benbow community. There will be no visitation. Family will meet at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO and friends are invited to follow the procession to the Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Friday from the Coder Funeral Chapel.
