Rosa Lee (Kamman) Wheeler

Rosa Lee (Kamman) Wheeler, 90 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri on January 11, 2021 where she had been a resident since August 2020.

The daughter of Willard Daniel and Martha Caroline (Koch) Kamman, she was born on July 5, 1930 in Shenandoah, Iowa. She was a graduate of the Farraget High School in Farraget, Iowa. On August 9, 1958 in Shenandoah, Iowa, “Rose” was united in marriage to Joseph Brundage (J.B.) Wheeler and to this union two children were born, Danny and Martha.

Survivors include her children, Danny Wheeler and wife, Teresa Joy of Lancaster, Missouri and Martha Hulet and husband, Allan of Kirksville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Abby Elizabeth Oberman and husband, Tony of Queen City, Missouri, Jacquelyn Olivia Wheeler of Lancaster, Missouri, Ashley Kay Hulet of Columbia, Missouri and Matthew Joseph Hulet of Kirksville, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Emily Claire Oberman of Queen City, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Dorothy Kamman; husband, J. B. Wheeler on August 1, 1997; two brothers, Delbert Kamman and Dale Kamman in infancy; one sister, Darlene Kamman in infancy and one stepsister, Vidy Smith.

Rose worked for Spurgeon’s and Kitchen Klatter Magazine while living in Iowa. When she moved to Missouri, she was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also worked as J. B.’s bookkeeper for a number of years. Rose immensely enjoyed her friends and the monthly card parties!

 

There will be no services at this time as the body has been cremated. Memorials have been established for the Arni Memorial Cemetery. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery.
