Mizzou Still In Search Of First SEC Win

The Mizzou men’s basketball team led No. 5 Tennessee after an ugly first half on both ends, however, the Tigers couldn’t come out with their first SEC win. The Volunteers came back for a 72-67 win over MU, on Tuesday.

Head coach Dennis Gates’ crew went into the locker room with a 29-26 lead, as both teams shot worse than 35 percent from the field in the first. Sean East was the lone consistent scoring force in the first 20 minutes, dropping 13 of his 24 total points.

Four Vols got into double-digit scoring against Mizzou, with three of them scoring more than 10 of their points in the second half, alone.

Three Tigers, including East with the team-high, hit double-digit scoring on Tuesday. Noah Carter was second with 20 points. Nick Honor was third with 10.
