Tiger Coach Martin Picks Up Milestone Win

Kirksville Tiger coach Tyler Martin picked up career win number 200 Tuesday by holding off a pesky Marshall team 51-37 at Tiger Gym. Kirksville pulled away late by pulling down huge defensive rebounds, and taking advantage of terrible free throw shooting by the Owls. Marshall only made 1 out of 7 in the fourth quarter. Justin McKim missed much of the game with foul trouble, but Cole Kelly picked up the slack by driving his muscle inside, and Gavin Pike was aggressive all night and pounded down a dunk to help seal the win. Kelly finished with 22 points, Pike had 17. KHS climbs to 15-8 overall, 7-2 in the conference. The Tigers will be part four of Thursday’s quadruple header at Hannibal.
