Jonah Heim singled home the only run Texas needed in the top of the second inning. Leody Taveras added a fifth-inning homer. The series remains in Houston for game 2 today. Left-hander Framber Valdez gets the start for the Astros. The Rangers counter with right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm and the game airs on Fox/FS1.
