Braves Beat Cardinals

The Atlanta Braves beat the St. Louis Cardinals Friday 11-4.

Jose Quintana took the loss, working five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits.

The Braves scored three runs in the sixth inning, keyed by a three run double by William Contreras.  They would score three more in the eighth and three more in the ninth.

Atlanta’s Spencer Strider picked up the victory, allowing just one run on six hits striking out seven.

The Cubs beat the Brewers 4-3 in 10 innings, so the Cardinals maintain their six game lead in the NL Central.
