Lady Tigers Bounce Macon

The Kirksville Lady Tigers pulled away in the fourth quarter and beat Macon Thursday 41-34 at Tiger Gym. KHS opened a 12-0 lead, but Macon fought back tie it in the fourth 34-34. That’s when picked up more valuable experience by taking the lead late and pulling away. Paishynce Fouts broke the tie by making a free throw on her first attempt, missed the second, but Alia Puckett made a huge rebound and put back to give KHS a 37-34 lead. The girls pulled away at the free throw line and won it 41-34. Fouts led all scorers with 20 points including four 3-pointers. Kirksville was good at the charity stripe by making 15 out of 18. Kirksville climbs to 2-1 and travels to Kahoka Tuesday for a date with Clark County.
