NATIONAL LEAGUE
PITTSBURGH 8 – L.A. Dodgers 1… Roansy Contreras (3-1) pitched two-hit ball over six innings and the Pirates breezed past the Dodgers. Jason Delay had three hits and knocked in three runs. Ji Hwan Bae went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Washington 4 – N.Y. METS 1… Mackenzie Gore gave up a run on four hits and struck out 10 over six innings as the Nationals cruised past the Mets. Jeimer Candelario homered for Washington.

ATLANTA 6 – Miami 4… The Braves rallied past the Marlins after spotting them a four-run lead. Vaughn Grissom singled in the go-ahead during a four-run bottom of the eighth inning. Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson smacked solo homers for Atlanta.

San Diego 5 – CHI. CUBS 3… Fernando Tatis Jr. lined a go-ahead two-run single in the seventh and added an RBI single in the ninth to push the Padres past the Cubs. Jake Cronenworth opened the scoring with a two-run triple in the fourth.

SAN FRANCISCO 7 – St. Louis 3… The Giants rolled past the Cardinals after spotting them an early two-run lead. LaMonte Wade Jr. homered to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning and tripled home a run in the eighth. Wilmer Flores homered with a runner aboard in the seventh.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
BALTIMORE 6 – Boston 2… Ramon Urias went 4-for-4 and his tie-breaking RBI single sparked a three-run bottom of the third inning that gave the Orioles the lead for good in their win over the Red Sox. Tyler Wells (1-1) gave up two runs on four hits over 5-2/3 innings.

TORONTO 8 – Chi. White Sox 0… Yusei Kikuchi (4-0) pitched four-hit ball over 5-2/3 innings and three Blue Jays relievers completed the shutout of the White Sox. Bo Bichette went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and three RBIs.

N.Y. Yankees 12 – MINNESOTA 6… Aaron Judge’s bases-clearing double capped a five-run top of the second inning and Gleyber Torres hit a two-run homer to cap a six-run fourth as the Yankees doubled up on the Twins. Anthony Volpe and Anthony Rizzo added two-run doubles.

Houston 1 – TAMPA BAY 0… Hunter Brown (3-0) pitched two hit-ball over seven innings and two relievers provided an inning each of hitless relief as the Astros blanked the Rays for the second straight night. Jeremy Peña scored the game’s only run in the top of the first inning on a fielding error by Tampa Bay shortstop Wander Franco.

L.A. ANGELS 11 – Oakland 3… Brandon Drury and Shohei Ohtani both homered and drove in three runs to lead the Angels in their romp over the Athletics. Hunter Renfroe also went deep. Patrick Sandoval (3-1) gave up three runs on six hits over seven innings. One of the runs he allowed was unearned.

INTERLEAGUE
CINCINNATI 5 – Texas 3… Nick Senzel connected for a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Reds a walkoff win over the Rangers. Henry Ramos tripled home a run and scored on Kevin Newman’s groundout in the second.

CLEVELAND 4 – Colorado 1… Jos Naylor’s two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning provided all the offense the Guardians needed in their win over the Rockies.  Tanner Bibee (1-0) surrendered a run on six hits over 5-2/3 innings.

MILWAUKEE 6 – Detroit 2… Vince Caratini drilled a two-run homer and Joey Wiemer added a solo shot in the Brewers’ defeat of the Tigers. Freddy Peralta (3-2) held Detroit to two runs on five hits over six innings.

ARIZONA 2 – Kansas City 0… Zac Gallen (4-1) allowed just four hits and struck out 12 over 6-1/3 innings before three Diamondbacks relievers shut the door on the Royals. Evan Longoria and Emmanuel Rivera produced run-scoring singles for Arizona.

PHILADELPHIA 6 – Seattle 5… J.T. Realmuto and Alec Bohm singled home the tying and go-ahead runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to push the Phillies past the Mariners. Nick Castellanos homered with a runner aboard in the first and added an RBI single in the fifth.
