NBA Playoffs Sunday 4-23

NBA FIRST-ROUND PLAYOFF SCORES…
NEW YORK 102 – Cleveland 93… The Knicks came up big in the fourth quarter to put away the Cavaliers and take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series. Jalen Brunson scored 29 points to lead all scorers. RJ Barrett added 26 points. The series returns to Cleveland for Game 5 on Wednesday.

GOLDEN STATE 126 – Sacramento 125… The Warriors held on at the end to top the Kings and even the first-round Western Conference playoff series at two games apiece.  Stephen Curry scored 32 points to lead a balanced scoring attack. Klay Thompson tossed in 26 points and Jordan Poole added 22. The series returns to Sacramento for tomorrow’s Game 5.

Boston 129 – ATLANTA 121… Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum scored 31 points apiece as the Celtics fought off the Hawks to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference first-round series. Robert Williams III grabbed 15 rebounds to go with his 13 points. The series returns to Boston for Game 5 tomorrow.

MINNESOTA 114 – Denver 108 (OT)… The Timberwolves stayed alive in the Western Conference first-round series by outlasting the Nuggets after dropping the first three games. Anthony Edwards pumped in 34 points. Rudy Gobert had 14 points and 15 boards. Nikola Jokic’s 43 points and 11 rebounds weren’t enough for Denver, which hosts tomorrow’s Game 5.
