KHS Tigers Pull Away And Beat Keokuk

The Kirksville Tigers battled Keokuk’s 2-3 zone all night but pulled away in the 4th quarter to win 58-44 Tuesday 8n Keokuk. Kirksville never trailed, but had trouble keeping up their high tempo and turned the ball over 16 times. KHS outscored Keokuk 13-8 in the 4th. Keaton Anderson led the way with 24 points. He opened the scoring with a long three and had four 3’s on the night. Cole Kelly with 13 points on 4 three’s and a free throw. Ike Danielson had 11. Brenton Hoard led Keokuk with 20 points, 11 in the 3rd to go along with Diego Garcia’s 8 third quarter points to keep it close, but the Tigers pull away 58-44 to get to 16-7 on the year. The Kirksville teams are scheduled to host Chillicothe Thursday for Senior Night. There will be a lot of forecast watching in the next couple of days.
