Lady Tigers Stumble Against Notre Dame de Sion

In almost a carbon copy of Thursday, the Kirksville Lady Tigers played well in the first half, but third quarter turnovers proved to be costly in a 50-38 Notre Dame De Sion victory Friday night. Notre Dame pressed all day and Kirksville handled it well before 9 third quarter turnovers. KHS committed 19 for the game. KHS was outscored 19-4 in the critical third quarter. Jada Jackson led KHS with 16 points, but 12 of those were in the first half. Three players were in double figures for the Storm, led by 13 from Jaelyn Smith. Like the previous night, KHS got into foul trouble and were missing key pieces for much of the second half. KHS dips to 4-5 and will next play Canton at the Highland Tournament Monday at 7:30 on KIRX.
