Tigers Cruise In Season Opener

The Kirksville Tigers blew away the Highland Cougars 65-24 in the season opener Tuesday night at Lewis Co. C1. The quick paced Tigers opened up a 16-4 lead on their way to a 39-16 lead at the half. KHS outscored Highland 18-4 in a continuous clock fourth quarter. Keaton Anderson led the way with 17 points, the only Tiger in double figures on a balanced night of scoring. Camden Dempsay had 8 points, 7 points for Justin McKim and Isaac Danielson. Braden Logston led the Cougars with 9 points. KHS turned the ball over only ten times, Highland committed twice that many.
