Lady Tigers Struggle In Season Opener

The Kirksville Lady Tigers dropped their season opener at Highland Tuesday 60-51. KHS was victimized by too many turnovers, giving the ball away to the Cougars 23 times, compared to just 14 takeaways. Ansley Bringer brought it for Highland, scoring 21 points and went 10 for 11 at the free throw line. In all, Highland was 16 out of 20 at the stripe. Kirksville was just 5 out of 9 at the line. Ellie Porter was good for 24 points for KHS, including 4 three pointers. Paishynce Fouts had 12 points. The Lady Tigers will have some time before their next game, Saturday, December 3 at the Sophie Cunningham Classic on the campus of Columbia College. Noon tip off on KIRX.
