Doris Jean Hatfield

Doris Jean Hatfield, 77 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.

The daughter of Elvin Arthur and Alice Frances (McKinney) Florea, she was born May 27, 1944 in Edina, Missouri. On February 28, 1962 in Edina, Missouri she was united in marriage to Leon “Lonnie” Hatfield and he preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Martha Mae Parrish.

Doris is survived by her children, Rick Hatfield and wife Lori of Kirksville, Brenda Mason and husband David of Hurdland, MO, Victoria Pruett and husband Glen of Hurdland, MO, Wayne Hatfield of Albany, GA and Mark Hatfield and wife Joni of Montgomery, IL; ten grandchildren, Kari Hatfield and husband Joe Clubb, Sherri (Brent) Potter, Brian Mason, Curtis Mason, Kelly (Kory) Norton, Rachel (Nathan) Eaton, Meggan Hatfield, DaSohn Hatfield, Elizabeth Hatfield and William Hatfield; nine great grandchildren, Emma Harsell, Korwin Norton, Raylee Potter, Bryson Potter, Kaylin Eaton, Kaelynn White, Kacie Eaton, Kenize Eaton, and Kelsey Eaton; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Doris grew up in Knox County and attended the Knox County Schools. After her marriage she stayed at home and raised her children. Later in life she worked at Florsheim Shoe Factory, Kirksville Manor Care and Northeast Regional Medical Center.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, fishing, motorcycle rides with her husband, and camping. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cookouts. She had a love for animals..

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Brian Mason, Joe Clubb, Kelly Norton, DaSohn Hatfield, Virgil Hatfield, and Kory Norton.
