Marjorie Lee (Gossman) West

Marjorie Lee (Gossman) West, 95 of LaBelle, Missouri, formerly of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 3, 3022 at the LaBelle Manor Care in LaBelle, Missouri.

The daughter of Edward D. and Mary Elizabeth (Owen) Gossman, she was born on December 20, 1926 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Forrest Junior Beeler in 1944 and to this union two sons were born, James and David Beeler. On February 1, 1959, she was united in marriage to William Timothy West in Lancaster, Missouri.

Marjorie is survived by her son, James Beeler and wife, Mary of Lancaster, Missouri; one stepson, Eddie West and wife, Pam of Centralia, Missouri; one stepdaughter-in-law, Elaine West of Jefferson City, Missouri; one grandson, James Derrick Beeler of Glenwood, Missouri and one granddaughter, Angela Kay; numerous step grandchildren including Joanne Tallman and husband, Patrick of Lancaster, Missouri; great grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family members.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Timothy West on March 19, 1993; one son, David Beeler and one stepson, Jerry West; 2 brothers, Frank Gossman and Charles Gossman; 1 sister, Lavern White; 3 half-brothers, Harry Slater, Joe Slater and Ervin Slater and one half-sister, Josie Saner.

Marjorie worked for the City of Lancaster for a number of years as the tax collector. She was a member of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the graveside services at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Schuyler County Nutrition Site.
