Naomi Marie Yardley

Naomi Marie Yardley, 84 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at McClarney Manor in Brookfield, Missouri.

Naomi was born March 5, 1937, in Winston, Missouri to Alva E. and Leona (Burns) Pratte. Naomi was married to Kenneth Tipton and to this union four children were born Gary, Terry, Jerry, and Anna. On October 24, 1969, Naomi married Marvin T. Yardley.

Survivors include: Two sons, Gary (Sandy) Tipton of Green City and Terry (LaLonie) Tipton of Green Castle; One daughter, Anna (Randy) McCollum of Milan; two step daughters, Judy (Danny) Cowles of Milan and Janet Hollon of Princeton, Missouri; Five grandchildren, Shannon Tipton, Brandon Tipton, Chelsea Wilson, Jason Nelson, and Heather McCollum; Eight grandchildren and eight step grandchildren; one brother, Joe (Jean) Pratte of Centerville, Iowa; One sister, Mary Lou (Harvey) Jackson of Mishawaka, Indiana; along with several nieces and nephews.

Naomi was preceded in death by: Her parents; Her husband, Marvin; A sister in-infancy, Patty Joan; a son in-infancy, Jerry Lee Tipton; Brothers, Charles Pratte and Dywane Pratte; Her twin sister, Ruth Ford; a stepdaughter, Tama Cunningham; and step granddaughter, Sherry (Cowles) Thudium.

At a young age Naomi gave her heart to the Lord, which she was always willing to share with others. She worked at ConAgra for 10 years until health reasons forced her to retire. Naomi enjoyed baking and working in her garden and yard when her health allowed. She always enjoyed visiting with her family and friends that stopped in at her home.

A service for Naomi will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. A visitation is going to be held one hour prior, starting at 1:00 PM. Naomi’s wishes were to be cremated following, and a private inurnment will be held later at Shatto Cemetery.
