Cheryl Jean Glidewell

Cheryl Jean Glidewell, 68, of Milan, MO passed away Friday August 20th in Columbia, Missouri.

Cheryl was born on March 15, 1953, to Millard Eldon and Shirley Louise (Snelling) Swank in Milan. On June 13, 1970, she married Stan Glidewell and together they raised 3 boys.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Stan, three sons, Jerrid Glidewell, Brandon Glidewell (Carla), and Jody Glidewell (Jennifer), mother, Shirley Swank, brother, Steven Swank (Shelley) all of Milan, and sister, Rhonda Carter (Brad) of Lake Ozark. Five grandchildren, Rhiannon, Regan, Troy, Marcus, and Macie along with several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eldon Swank.

Cheryl was a member of the Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder. Her faith was central to her life and her love for Christ was reflected in her compassion and caring for others. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, her flowers, trips to Branson and adventurous car rides. Her favorite time was at night, sitting in her rocker, star watching and listening to the tree frogs.

Cheryl was an angel on earth and will fit just fine in heaven. She was such a loving, caring, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter and would do anything for her family. She always was so positive in life and loved her grandchildren more than life.

We will miss her smile, her laugh and compassion for all. She will be forever in our hearts.

“Goodbye, my beautiful wife. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. I will see you in heaven someday.” Love always, Stan
