Sharon Ruth Pierson, 79, of Pollock, Missouri, passed away Thursday morning, July 1, 2021 in Liberty, Missouri.
Sharon was born August 10, 1941 in Brookfield, Missouri, the daughter of Homer Johnson and Doris Ruth (Gudgell) Allen. She married Eldon Smith Pierson on May 10, 1959 at the Baptist Church in Wheeling, Missouri and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2004. Sharon worked alongside Eldon on their farm and continued to carry on their dream after he passed. She loved playing pitch with her girlfriends, baking, canning, and spending time with her family and beloved dog, Homer. She was a longtime resident of Sullivan County and a member of the Milan United Methodist Church.
Sharon is survived by one son; Clayton (Sheila) Pierson of Lineville, Iowa and two daughters; Karol Pierson of Liberty, Missouri and Cheryl (Kevin) Hollon of Liberty, Missouri, one brother; Glen Wayne (Marge) Allen of Corydon, Iowa, six grandchildren; Travis (Jeri Ann) Pierson, Kristen (Joe) Nixon, Tanner Pierson, Kelsey Pierson, Blake (Heather) Hollon and Max Hollon, and seven great-grandchildren; Kade Smith, Kyle Smith, Kam Pierson, Kaden Nixon, Brock Nixon, Bowe Nixon and Case Hollon.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lois Katherine in infancy; and her fur-babies, Petie and Homer.
The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m., on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home, 120 West Fourth Street, Milan, Missouri 63556. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00a.m., at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Sanders officiating. Interment services will be held at the Scobee Cemetery at Pollock, Missouri.
