NATIONAL LEAGUE
San Francisco 6 – CINCINNATI 3… Wilmer Flores slugged a two-run homer and the Giants got solo shots from Mike Yastrzemski and Mauricio Dubon in doubling up on the Reds. Starter Logan Webb (3-3) scattered six hits over six scoreless innings.

N.Y. Mets 3 – ATLANTA 1… James McCann doubled home a run and scored to break a scoreless tie in the to of the seventh inning and the Mets held off the Braves. Five New York pitchers combined on a three-hitter.

CHI. CUBS 7 – Washington 3… Willson Contreras, Jason Heyward and Javier Báez homered off former teammate Jon Lester and the Cubs spoiled his return to Chicago. Heyward also singled home a run.

L.A. DODGERS 3 – Arizona 1… Walker Buehler (2-0) pitched one-hit ball over seven innings and the Dodgers topped the Diamondbacks. Will Smith homered and Albert Pujols recorded his first RBI since signing with L.A.

SAN DIEGO 7 – Colorado 0… Padres starter Yu Darvish (4-1) held the Rockies to four hits over seven innings and struck out 10 before reliever Nabil Crismatt completed the shutout. Manny Machado provided all the offense San Diego needed with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Chi. White Sox 16 – MINNESOTA 4… Danny Mendick unloaded a grand slam to highlight the White Sox’ pounding of the Twins. Nick Madrigal had three hits, including his first major league homer. Yermin Mercedes also went deep.

TEXAS 5 – N.Y. Yankees 2… The Rangers cruised past the Yankees to snap their six-game skid. Adolis Garcia and Willie Calhoun homered. Garcia was also credited with a steal of home. Jordan Lyles (2-3) surrendered a run on six hits over six innings.

L.A. ANGELS 7 – Cleveland 4… Shohei Ohtani connected for his major league-leading 13th homer with two runners aboard to help power the Angels past the Indians. Juan Lagaras stroked a tie-breaking two-run double in the bottom of the second inning.

Detroit 4 – SEATTLE 1… Eric Haase hit a pair of solo homers and Jonathan Schoop added a two-run shot as the Tigers downed the Mariners. Casey Mize (3-3) gave up a run on three hits over 7-2/3 innings.
