Utah defeated Sacramento 121-99 to clinch the league’s best record and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs… Portland blew out Denver 132-116 to secure the No. 6 spot and avoid the Play-In Tournament… NBA scoring champion Stephen Curry poured in 46 points as Golden State downed Memphis 113-101 to finish in eighth place and set up Wednesday’s first-round matchup with the L.A. Lakers in the play-in tournament. San Antonio and Memphis go at it in Wednesday’s other Western Conference Play-In Tournament opener.
EASTERN CONFERENCE…
New York fought off Boston 96-92 to secure fourth place… Washington rallied past Charlotte in the fourth quarter to win 115-110 and nail down eighth place and set up tomorrow’s first-round matchup with Boston in the play-in tournament. Charlotte and Indiana meet in tomorrow’s other Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament opener.
