MLB SCOREBOARD…
NATIONAL LEAGUE
San Francisco 4 – PITTSBURGH 1… Alex Wood (5-0) held the Pirates to a run on eight hits over six innings. Mike Yastrzemski homered with a runner aboard for the Giants.

MILWAUKEE 10 – Atlanta 9… The Brewers built an 8-0 and held on to edge the Braves. Adolis Garcia homered with a runner aboard. Daniel Vogelbach knocked in three runs.

Cincinnati 7 – COLORADO 6… The Reds came from five runs down in the eighth inning to upend the Rockies. Tucker Barnhart scored the tying run in the top of the ninth on a passed ball and Nick Senzel raced home with a go-ahead run on a wild pitch.

Miami 3 – L.A. DODGERS 2… Adam Duvall connected for a three-run homer in the top of the fifth inning and the Marlins hung on to edge the Dodgers. Pablo Lopez (1-3) allowed two runs on seven hits over five innings.

Washington 3 – ARIZONA 0… Erick Fedde (3-4) pitched three-hit ball over seven innings and two relievers completed the Nationals’ blanking of the Diamondbacks. Pinch-hitter Yadiel Hernandez homered to lead off the top of the eighth inning. Trea Turner went 3-for-4 with an RBI double.

SAN DIEGO 5 – St. Louis 3… The Padres scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and held off the Cardinals. Two of the runs came on bases-loaded walks.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
BALTIMORE 10 – N.Y. Yankees 6… Maikel Franco homered and drove in three runs as the Orioles came from behind to down the Yankees. Ryan Mountcastle had a couple of hits and knocked in four runs.

L.A. Angels 6 – BOSTON 5… Shohei Ohtani blasted a two-out, two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning to power the Angels past the red Sox. Drew Butera’s two-run single capped a four-run second.

CHI. WHITE SOX 4 – Kansas City 3… Yoan Moncada singled home a run and Jose Abreu scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the White Sox a come-from-behind win over the Royals. Adam Eaton hit a two-run homer in the fifth.

Oakland 7 – MINNESOTA 6… Ramon Laureano scored the decisive run in the top of the ninth inning on a wild pitch as the Athletics got past the Twins. Matt Chapman had three hits and drove in three runs.

HOUSTON 6 – Texas 2… Chas McCormick singled home two runs during a four-run bottom of the eighth inning that carried the Astros past the Rangers.

SEATTLE 3 – Cleveland 2… Seven Mariners’ pitchers kept the Indians at bay. Kyle Lewis singled home a run in the bottom of the first inning and J.P. Crawford added a two-run single in the third.

INTERLEAGUE
TORONTO 10 – Philadelphia 8… Marcus Semien had three hits, including a homer, and knocked in three runs as the Blue Jays outslugged the Phillies. Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. also went deep for Toronto.

Chi. Cubs 5 – DETRIOT 1… Kyle Hendricks (3-4) took a shutout into the ninth inning as the Cubs breezed past the Tigers. Ian Happ went 3—for-4 with a solo homer and RBI double.

TAMPA BAY 7 – N.Y. Mets 1… The Rays rolled past the Mets to complete a three-game sweep. They got homers from Manuel Margot, Willy Adames and Brandon Lowe. Josh Fleming (3-3) allowed just one hit over five scoreless innings.
