Linda Small

Linda Jo (McGuire) Small, 65 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Woodrow Wilson and Hazel Mae (Grisumm) McGuire, she was born on October 27, 1955 in Independence, Missouri. She was a graduate of the Van Horn High School in Kansas City, Missouri.

On June 21, 1974 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Dennis Wayne Small and to this union two daughters were born, Sarah and Katie.

Survivors include her daughters, Sarah Fields and husband, Robert of Lancaster, Missouri and Katie Small and fiancé, Bobby Scott of Keytesville, Missouri ; Mike Ebert and wife, Tenia of Downing, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Tyler Hatfield of Lancaster, Missouri, Savanna, Masey (and friend, Derik Hill) and Robert Fields all of Lancaster, Missouri, Kennedi and Sydney Scott of Keytesville, Missouri, Amber Jackson and husband, Dillion of Downing, Missouri, Michelle Wagner and husband, Josh of Livonia, Missouri and Kaycie Ebert of Downing, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Emilee, Sophia and Kaleb; one sister, Nancy McGuire and husband, Rick Williams of Leewood, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Robert Standifer of Blue Springs, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and so many good friends and most especially her beloved dog, Molly also survives.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis Wayne Small on October 25, 2009 and two sisters, Virginia Standifer and Candice Russell.

Linda attended the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri when her health permitted. She was also an avid fan of the Tuesday night Card Club at the Schuyler County Community Club.

Linda was a host to everyone she met-she never knew a stranger. She lived for her girls and grandchildren. Everyone knew her for her cinnamon rolls, caring and sassy personality!

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date as her body has been cremated. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site of Lancaster, Missouri.
