Jo Ann Rodman

Jo Ann Rodman, 72 years old, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Jo Ann was born August 8, 1948 in Novinger, Missouri to Bernard and Daisy (Davis) Clark. In 1969 she married Harold Howard and five children were born to this marriage. She later married Robert Keith Rodman and he preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Johnny, and a son, Scott Howard.

Jo Ann was survived by: Four children, Kristi Mason and husband Rick of Novinger, Julie Drake and husband Chris of Grimes, Iowa, Matthew Howard and wife Beth of Milan, and Ashley Eiler of Kirksville; grandchildren, Rusten, Dalis, Sydney, Samantha, Skylar, Saydie, Blake, Lucas, Drayven, Chaysten, and Ayvah; great grandchildren, Talon and Bella; one brother, Jimmy Clark of Green Castle, Missouri; a sister, Judy True of Green Castle; and several nieces and nephews.

Jo Ann graduated from Novinger. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jo Ann moved to Iowa in 1969, where she worked at The Times Republican and worked several years at Fisher Electronics in Marshalltown, Iowa. In 1990 she moved back to Kirksville, working at a safe house for battered women and at Farmland in Milan. For the last six years she worked as a Direct Support Professional for Chariton Valley in Kirksville. Jo Ann enjoyed reading, writing and crafting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

A service for Jo Ann will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Southwest of Green City.
