Bonnie Jean Snyder

Bonnie Jean Snyder, age 87, of Kirksville, MO went to be with her loving Savior on January 7, 2021.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 1 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Travis-Noe.
Bonnie was born on March 24, 1933 near Graysville, MO. Her parents were James Jackson (Jack) Rowland and Maddie Rowland. On August 8, 1958, she married Carlos (Bud) Snyder in Sullivan County, MO.
Surviving are Bonnie’s husband of 62 years, Bud, of the home. Also surviving are her sons, Randy (Jenny) of Lathrop, MO and Robby (Debbie) of Novinger, MO. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Will (Emily) Snyder, Cody (Stephanie) Snyder, Molly (Sam) Gerlach, Abby (Lance) Weber and Adam Snyder. Bonnie is also survived by three great grandsons, Easton Weber, Nolan Snyder and Baylor Weber.
Also surviving are her sisters, Jane Ray of Kirksville, MO, Neva (Dale) Miller of Brasher, MO and Charlene (Darrell) Bunch of Wichita, KS. Other survivors include sister-in-law, Evelyn Koenig, Kirksville and brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Judi Snyder, Kirksville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Maddie Rowland, sister, Beulah Lykins, and brother-in-law, James Lykins, brother-in-law, Orlan Ray, sister-in-law, Selma Peterson and sisters, Beth Ann Rowland and Wandavalee Rowland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie graduated from Unionville High School and attended Kirksville State Teachers College. She taught school for several years in one-room school houses in Putnam County.
She later worked for many years at Hollister, Inc before retiring.
Bonnie was a long-time member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church and was baptized on May 14, 2000. Bonnie was a woman of strong faith and her life reflected goodness and kindness and her love of the Lord.
Bonnie was a very family-oriented woman and a dearly loved mother and grandmother. Bonnie was a gem of a granny who shared her love, caring heart, devotion and sense of fun with her grandchildren.
Bonnie had a special bond and love for her four sisters.
Bonnie’s home was always a welcome, comforting place and she enjoyed cooking, gardening and celebrating holidays and other special occasions with her family.
Burial will be at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
