Jean Logan

Jean Logan, 76, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Jean Logan was born in Lemons, MO, on June 24, 1944, the daughter of James and Erma (Housten) Lorence. She attended the Hillcrest school and later completed her training to become a licensed Real Estate Agent. On January 26, 1980, she married Marvin Logan in Nevada, IA. Jean was a member of the Iowa Association of Realtors and President of the Iowa Great Lakes Board of Realtors receiving special recognition awards for her outstanding service, even becoming their “Realtor of the Year.” After a successful career in Iowa, Jean and her husband retired to Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. With continuing health problems, they moved back home to Putnam County to be closer to family. Jean enjoyed her flowers, golfing, and read enough to keep the Library busy. Jean also had a special bond with her grandchildren and her family will miss her greatly.

Jean Logan is survived by 2 sons, Brad Knight and wife Brenda and Bruce Knight and wife Carol of Unionville, MO. Jean’s surviving grandchildren are Macey Tipton and husband Clint, Kasey Knight, and Jamie Estep and husband Jakob. Surviving great grandchildren are Josie, Brenley and Sadie Tipton and Caroline and Charlotte Estep. Jean is also survived by a sister, Sharon Garner.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a stepson, John Logan.

Graveside services for Jean Logan will be at the Lemons Cemetery at 9:45 am on Sunday, November 15, 2020. Interment will be at the Lemons Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO.
