Doris Maxine (Carter) Berry, 92, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at Kirksville Manor Care Center.
The daughter of the late Ernest and Della (Halley) Carter, she was born October 30, 1927 in Kirksville, Missouri. On December 13, 1947 in Kirksville, Doris was united in marriage to Graydon F. “Jr.” Berry Jr. who preceded her in death on June 27, 2012. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Moore and Marie Trader, and one brother, Ernest Carter.
Doris is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald and Valarie Berry of Lancaster, MO, Ronald Berry of Kirksville, MO, and David and Karen Berry of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Zola Logan of Kirksville, MO; seven grandchildren, as well as several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Doris was a graduate from Kirksville High School and attended Northeast Missouri State Teacher’s College. She was a homemaker and worked along side of her husband on their farm for many years.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Interment will follow the service at Yarrow Cemetery in Yarrow.
Family will receive friends during one hour of visitation on Wednesday October 21, 2020 in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
