Owen Kenneth Knoche, age 93, of Knox City, MO, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, in the LaBelle Manor in LaBelle, MO.
He was born November 1, 1926, in Clinton County, IA the son of William Kenneth and Louise Mayerhofer Knoche. He was united in marriage to Helen Bateman on January 5, 1946 and to this union three children were born. On February 24, 1959, at Rock Island, IL he was united in marriage to Cora Belle McMullin and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2011. Owen was also preceded by his parents, three sons, Ronnie, Randy and Mike Knoche and one sister Bernadine Lund.
Surviving are two daughters, Darlene (Chuck) Hellweg of Camanche, IA and Shelly Jackman of Columbia, MO, seven grandchildren including Carl (Allison) Knoche of Knox City, MO, four great grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law Earlene Knoche and her friend Michael Gosmyer of Kirksville, MO.
Owen received his education in Spring Rock Township in Iowa. He and his wife owned and operated Syracuse Supper Club at Calamus, IA for several years and in 1982 moved north of Knox City, MO where he was engaged in farming. Owen was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, he enjoyed all animals, raising dogs and attending gun and dog sales.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 26th from 1 p.m. till time of services at 3 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
