Olen (Sonny) Alfred Hall, Jr

Olen (Sonny) Alfred Hall, Jr., 78 of rural Livonia, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home under the care of Hospice and surrounded by his family.

The son of Olen Alfred Sr. and Alta Mae (Sanford) Hall, he was born on May 18, 1942 in Novinger, Missouri. He was a 1960 graduate of the Kirksville High School in Kirksville, Missouri. On March 8, 1968 at the Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville, Missouri, Olen was united in marriage to Amber Dierling and to this union four daughters were born, Kellie, Kimberlie, Kristie and Kebbie.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, 6 months and 2 days, Amber of Livonia, Missouri; his four daughters, Kellie Sayre and husband, Kevin of Downing, Missouri, Kimberlie Starbuck and husband, Adrian of Queen City, Missouri, Kristie Gottman and husband, Steve of Queen City, Missouri and Kebbie Sullivan and husband, John of Lancaster, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Cassie Sayre, Derek Sayre and special friend, Robyn Horsley, Ashton Clark and husband, Roy, Matthew Starbuck and wife, Cassidy, Jordan Gottman and wife, Kylee, Jessica Shively and husband, Jaron, Tydren Sullivan and wife, Jessica and Tayden Sullivan; fifteen great grandchildren, Draven and Ryker Dixon, Addilyn and Quinley Clark, Mason and Porter Starbuck, Eleanor, Ruadhan and Siobhan Gottman, Rosalina and Gabriella Martinez, Kruze Miller, Carter Shively, Lyrika Kerby and Daxton Sullivan; one brother, Bob Hall of Peoria, Illinois; one special uncle, Ellis Sanford of Kirksville, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends including special neighbors, Rhonda Biller and Luke Ruggles.

Olen is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Sutton and husband, Gene and Marietta Garrett and husband, Charlie and one brother, Bill Hall.

Olen was baptized at the Hamilton Street Baptist Church in Kirksville, Missouri.

Olen was employed at several factories in the Kirksville, Missouri area including the Shoe Factory and Kewanee and he retired after working approximately 10 years with Wal Mart.

Olen loved to be outside fishing, riding on his tractor taking the grandchildren for rides, attending Bluegrass and Country Music Shows, barbeques with the family and vacationing in Arkansas with the Adams family and friends who were very musical. He loved spending time with his family and the grandchildren. He will be missed by all!

Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Northeast Missouri. Burial will be in the Crowder Cemetery, southeast of Lancaster, Missouri.
