James Richard (Jammie) McMurry, Jr., age 50 of Edina, MO, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 in Edina, MO. He was born September 16, 1969, in Kansas City, MO, the son of James Richard and Geraldine Kay Rudicil McMurry, Sr.
Surviving are his mother Geraldine Kay McMurry of Edina, MO, one brother Gerald (Jerry) McMurry of Kirksville, MO, one sister Sallie Jo Applegate of Plevna, MO, nephew Bryson (Anna) Applegate of Novelty, MO, niece Ashley (Evan) Kelly of Plevna, MO, and several great nieces and nephews. Jammie was preceded in death by his father and a brother-in-law Roger Applegate.
Jammie received his education in Knox County and Liberty, IL. He had been employed in construction, as a mechanic and operated a fork lift for Sharky Trucking. He enjoyed working on and collecting cars and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Paul Milliken will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Colony Cemetery.
Musical selections will be In The Garden and Go Rest High On That Mountain.
Casket bearers will be Duane Stephenson, Kent Franke, Bryson Applegate, Donnie Crim, Evan Kelly, Brad Cutforth and Jeremy Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Joe Moore and Steve Runquist.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
