Judith Ann Tharp, 83 years old, of Milan, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville surrounded by family.
Judith was born October 9, 1936 in Trenton, Missouri to George and Dorothy (Wingate) Watts. On June 6, 1954 she married Derlan Tharp and they spent 65 years of love together, he preceded her in death in December of 2019. Survivors include: One son, David and wife Jeanna Tharp of Milan; three grandchildren, Kirsten Tharp, Javin Tharp, and Evan Tharp; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Lana Ann Tharp in-infancy.
Judith was a loving wife, mother, and proud grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, camping and boating. Judith liked to crochet and she loved watching the hummingbirds and other wildlife. She enjoyed being outside and picking fresh flowers. She also enjoyed playing cards and other games with family and putting together puzzles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved being in church and was active in the church until her health no longer allowed her to do so.
Funeral services for Judith will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Southeast of Milan. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 12:00 Noon.
