Shirley Hutson

Shirley Anne Hutson, 86 of Edina, Missouri and formerly of Grand Junction Colorado passed away on Friday May 15, 2020 at Northeast Regional Hospital in Kirksville, Missouri.

She was born February 9, 1934 the daughter of Harry and Edith Ponsford in Grand Junction Colorado.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Terri Crockford of Galesburg, Illinois and Randy Hutson of Edina, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tasha Strickland, Joshua, Brianna and Brandi Crockford, Amber Williams, Samantha Hoover and Andrea Andrea Haynes; seven great grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Janecheck of Grand Island, Nebraska; brother. Keith Ponsford of Boulder, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by parents, Harry and Edith Ponsford and husband, Robert Hutson.
Shirley was a true example of a Christian woman devoted to her faith. Her life reflected the love she had for God her and faithfulness overflowed to others by her willingness to serve and charitable giving. She lived what she believed. Shirley was not only devoted in her faith but her husband, children, family and sometimes Republican politics! She was a wife, mother and friend that had the gift of unconditional love and was a very trustworthy.

Shirley loved to enjoy the beauty of nature and all things green, sitting in the yard and enjoying gospel music or old hymns. She also enjoyed all sorts of puzzles, playing Yahtzee and other games with her family. She had a side for adventure and enjoyed traveling a taking trips and travel experiences. The Rocky Mountains was one of her favorite places to travel and explore. Her last travel adventure was moving to Missouri to be closer to her daughter so that she was able to spend last days among those she loved most.
Shirley will be missed by many and if she could answer the phone one last time, she would say” Praise the Lord, Jesus Loves You!

A memorial service to celebrate and honor Shirley’s life and faithful devotion will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday May 23, 2020 at her home in Edina, Missouri.
