Sandra Kay Williams

Sandra Kay Williams, 81 years old, of Milan, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her home.

Sandra was born May 7, 1939 in Milan to Glenn and Irene (Helms) LaFaver. On October 26, 1957 in Milan she married Larry Williams, he survives her. Also surviving: children, Susan Williams of Milan, Bobby Williams (Becky) of Milan, Roger Williams of Moberly, Missouri, Larry Joe Williams (Angie) of Nebraska City, Nebraska, and Sarah Jarvis (Tim) of Milan; ten grandchildren, Eric Williams, Greg Williams, Erin Richardson (Geoff), Luke Williams (Yannet), Corby Williams, Sam Williams, Clarissa Williams, Renee Williams, Andrew Cassity III, and Agatha Williams; great grandchildren, Noah Williams, Ryleigh Williams, Melody Williams, and one on the way; two brothers, Garry LaFaver (Harriet) of Milan, Roger LaFaver (Barbara) of Aurora, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra attended school in Green City and Milan, graduating from Proviso East High School in Illinois. She worked at Automatic Electric then got married and moved to Milan, becoming a housewife and mother. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milan where she taught Sunday school and Bible school and was still a member of the choir. She was a member of WMU, she was a cub scout leader in her earlier years, and was a Rainbow Girl. Sandra loved to read, talk on the phone, and enjoyed gardening. She was an excellent cook and devoted most of her life to her children.

A memorial service for Sandra will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Milan. Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Milan.
