Konda Gae Peavler Vick

Konda Gae (Peavler) Vick, 54 of Oshkosh, Nebraska was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January, 2, 2020.

Konda was the loving daughter of Ramah (Johnson) Peavler and Kenny Roscoe Peavler. She was born April 2, 1965 in Kirksville, Missouri. Konda grew up in Green Castle, MO. and attended the Green City R-1 High School. She graduated in 1983 and was married soon after graduation to Dennis Brawner. To this union three beautiful Brawner girls were born. Kandice, Kourtney and Katelyn. They were so loved!

Konda was blessed to be able to stay at home with her girls and she loved that. When the girls were all in school Konda got a job working at the Novinger school. She so enjoyed seeing her children there, as well as the many Novinger Wildcat kiddos who passed through the lunch line. “Konda was Sunshine on a cloudy day” for the little ones who needed a little extra loving or a larger serving of “TLC” as she called it!

After Konda’s girls grew up, she moved to Colorado. It was there she met her Mountain Man, Rocky Vick. Konda and Rocky got married in Genoa Colorado in 2008. They settled there and soon found a church, the Oasis of Hope, where they both grew in their faith. Life was good again! Konda stood firmly on this promise; Above all love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8) Life as a rancher’s wife took Konda and Rocky on another adventure together. They settled into Nebraska and Konda continued to be a stay at home wife. She took great pride in doing the best she could to be a loving supportive wife to her husband Rocky.

Konda also spent lots of time on the phone checking on “her girls” and her grandbabies. Konda was always planning her next trip home to check on her loved ones. That last trip happened this past Christmas and Konda got to see “her girls”, grandbabies and even her sons-in-law, too. Konda’s heart was full, and she was very Happy!

Konda is survived by her husband, Rocky Vick; her three daughters, Kandice (Adam) Robinson, Kourtney (Scott) Buckallew, Katelyn Brawner (Chase Roberts); step children, Tabitha Clay and children, Elton (Betty) Quotskyva and children, Tim (Sara) Clark and children, Anthony (Valerie) Clark and children, Rocky (Holly) Vick Jr. and children, Teri (Lonnie) Campbell; five grandchildren, Connor and Carli Robinson, Oakley and Finley Buckallew and baby boy Roberts due in March; two sisters, Kenda (JC) Roberts and Paula Darr; one brother, Habe (Kandy) Darr; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
