Adair County Mobile Food Pantry distribution will be at the Hamilton Street Baptist Church (802 W Hamilton in Kirksville) Saturday March 28th starting at 11 am. A number is required to receive food and be given out beginning at 9 am. To receive food, please bring: a photo ID, Social Security of each family member living with you, and proof of residency – example: a utility bill or other mail with your name and current address. Also bring a box, basket, or bags to carry the food home.
Hamilton Street Baptist Church WILL be hosting the Mobile Food Pantry on Saturday March 28th. To keep everyone safe, we will be changing the procedure. If you plan on participating, please read the following so that you know what to expect.
People with vehicles may arrive at 9 to get a ticket, as usual. Or walk up, keeping distance from others.
Those with vehicles, or walkers, will be told to wait in parking lot upon return, and registrar will come to them. People with vehicles should stay in them, and not come up to building.
No one will be allowed in building, meaning no bathroom is available.
Workers will move people and vehicles to a line to receive food after they have signed in, and workers will direct traffic. Workers will bring food out to curb, and people should still bring their own bags, baskets, or boxes to take it home with them. We may not have any boxes to spare this month.
There could be a longer wait than usual to get food, depending on volunteers and how quickly we can move cars through. Those with special needs should be aware and make their own adjustments.
This is a new process and we are planning the best we can to assure that we are able to serve everyone as efficiently as possible. We ask for your patience. Please remember that we are all in this together!
