Debra Fay Thompson, 72, of Milan, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 20, 2026.
Debra was born on February 10, 1954, in Milan, to her parents Robert Wayne and Dellie (Davis) Thompson. She grew up in Oregon and graduated from Washington State University. She then moved to Georgia for work before moving to Washington D.C. where she worked for various groups. Debra then moved back to California to work with her sister in the accounting business. She moved back to Missouri in 1999 where she married Lynn Carmack in August of 1999. She enjoyed taking walks on the farm with their dogs and cat.
Debra is survived by: her husband, Lynn Carmack of the home; sister, Sandy Mizer of Carmichael, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service for Debra will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Baker Cemetery southeast of Milan. Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan is handling arrangements.
