Madonna Carol Noland, 82, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at her home in Green City, Missouri.
Madonna was born July 10, 1943, in Unionville, Missouri, the daughter of Bernard W. Pearson and Hollace I. Hawkins Pearson. On January 28, 1961, in Putnam County, Missouri, she married Larry E. Guffey and to that union four children were born. They were later divorced. On April 9, 1988, she married Gary L. Noland who predeceased her on February 26, 1997.
Surviving her are: three daughters, Trisha W. Buck of Green City, Missouri; Robin C. Feeney and husband Tim of Boxford, Massachusetts; and Carole Dawn Vieth and husband Chris of Jefferson City, Missouri; one step son Randy L. Noland and wife Jill of St. Charles, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Terra Rouse of Kirksville, Missouri; Keith Buck of Green City, Missouri; Zackery LoPresto of Columbia, Missouri; Jordan Feeney of Greenville, South Carolina; Ryenne Feeney of Boxford, Massachusetts; Jacob Noland of Wentzville, Missouri; Kelly Morgan of O’Fallon, Missouri; and Bailey Vieth of St. Louis, Missouri; four great grandchildren, Taylor Rouse of Springfield, Missouri; Brandon Rouse of Kirksville, Missouri; Elizabeth Buck of Green City, Missouri; and Jack Morgan of O’Fallon, Missouri; one great great grandchild, Warren Rouse of Kirksville, Missouri; and one brother, Lyle K. Pearson of Unionville, Missouri; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary L. Noland; her infant daughter Peggy Denise Guffey; her granddaughter Brandi Buck; her father Bernard W. Pearson; and her mother Hollace I. Pearson.
Madonna lived most of her life in Sullivan County, Missouri. She graduated from the Putnam County R-III High School in 1960 and received a two-year Paralegal Certificate from the Paralegal Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in 1982. She became a nationally Certified Professional Legal Secretary in 1992.
She was an active member of the Green City Assembly of God Church, was baptized September 16, 1973, in Drakesville, Iowa and exhibited her faith in all aspects of her life. Madonna enjoyed reading, music and spending time with her family. She was especially proud of founding the Green City Singles Support Group and enjoyed their regular card games and breakfast meetings.
Funeral services for Madonna will be held at 1:00 Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Green City, Missouri. Burial will follow at the Lemons Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the funeral home.
