Lady Tigers Ride Big Fourth Quarter To Win

The Kirksville Lady Tigers advanced to the district championship game beating Hallsville 57-37 Thursday in Mexico. KHS led from start to finish, although Hallsville got to within 6 in the second half. Kirksville took a 34-17 lead before the Indians cut it to nine. That’s when the Lady Tigers put it away in the fourth quarter, making 11 out of 13 free throws in the period. Paishynce Fouts went 7 out of 8 at the stripe all in the fourth. For the game, Kirksville was 16 out of 21, Hallsville 4 out of 8. Three players in double figures, Fouts finished with 19, Chloe Carter 18 which included 7 out of 11 at the line and a big three-pointer in the second quarter. Eva Danielson chipped in with 10. The top seed Lady Tigers take on 3rd seed Mexico Saturday afternoon at 2:00. Mexico beat 2nd seed Fulton 52-41.
