The Kirksville Lady Tigers played a tough 2nd quarter against South Shelby, but ultimately couldn’t overcome 29 points from Callie McWilliams as the Lady Birds beat KHS 71-44 Tuesday at Tiger Gym. South Shelby built a 20-5 lead early in the 2nd before Paishynce Fouts scored a quick six points to get to within 9, but a couple of three’s by Hannah Gaines would give the Lady Birds a 15 point lead at the break. Fouts led KHS with 9 points, 8 from Chloe Carter and Alia Puckett. Kirksville dips to 0-2 and will be part of a varsity doubleheader Thursday at Macon.
