Chiefs Extend Humphrey

The Kansas City Chiefs made another player the highest-paid at their position in the National Football League on Thursday.

According to multiple reports, Chiefs center Creed Humphrey reached agreement on an extension that keeps him with Kansas City for four years.

The deal was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Humphrey’s $72 million extension — which includes a reported $50 million in guarantees — makes him the league’s highest-paid center.

Humphrey was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. He’s started 51 games in three seasons with Kansas City and has been a Pro Bowler twice.
