Tigers Shut Down Keokuk

The Kirksville Tigers dominated Keokuk 64-38 Tuesday at Tiger Gym. A big second quarter in which KHS outscored the Chiefs 22-8 gave the Tigers a 35-16 lead at the break. Justin McKim got the better of Keokuk big man Jaxon Clark by scoring 20 points including 3 3-pointers. Cole Kelly led all scorers with 22 and 6 3’s. Jace Kent the third Tiger in double figures with 10. Clark was held to just 12 points, and Keokuk’s other scorer, Diego Garcia was also held in check with 12. KHS played a clean game, only turning the ball over 4 times, the Tiger defense forced 13 turnovers. Kirksville gets to 14-7 on the year and will be part two of Thursday’s double header at Chillicothe Thursday, coverage at 6:05.
