NHL SCORES…
TORONTO 6 – Montreal 5 (SO)… Mitch Marner scored in the shootout to lift the Maple Leafs over the Canadiens. Auston Matthews scored twice in the final five minutes of regulation to tie the game and complete a hat trick.

CAROLINA 5 – Ottawa 3… The Hurricanes put away the Senators after blowing a two-goal third-period lead. Brady Skjei and Jaccob Slavin netted back-to-back goals in the third period to provide the winning margin.

BOSTON 3 – Chicago 1… The Bruins scored a goal in each period to ease past the Blackhawks. David Pastrnak scored a tie-breaking goal in the second period and added an empty-netter in the third. Trent Frederic scored a tying goal in the first.

CALGARY 5 – Winnipeg 3… Andrew Mangiapane scored two goals and assisted on another in leading the Flames past the Jets. Jonathan Huberdeau set up two goals.

VANCOUVER 8 – Edmonton 1… Brock Boeser netted four goals to lead the Canucks in their rout of the Jets. J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson each had a goal and three assists.

Colorado 5 – LOS ANGELES 2… Mikko Rantanen found the net twice and added two assists as the Avalanche skated past the Kings. Nathan MacKinnon had a goal and two assists.
