NATIONAL LEAGUE
Milwaukee 6 – ST. LOUIS 0… Wade Miley (9-4) pitched three-hit ball over six innings and got help from two Brewers relievers in the blanking of the Cardinals. Blake Perkins opened the scoring with a homer to lead off the top of the third inning. Victor Caratini belted a three-run homer.
Atlanta 10 – WASHINGTON 3… Ozzie Albies pounded out four hits, including a two-run homer, and finished with four RBIs in leading the Braves to a romp over the Nationals. Matt Olson added his 53rd homer to lead off the top of the eighth inning. Austin Riley and Michael Harris II each had three hits and an RBI.
PHILADELPHIA 5 – N.Y. Mets 4… Nick Castellanos homered, singled home two runs and finished with four RBIs as the Phillies held off the Mets. Alec Bohm also went deep for Philadelphia.
Pittsburgh 8 – CHI. CUBS 6… Joshua Palacios’ three-run homer in the top of the ninth inning provided the winning margin in the Pirates’ win over the Cubs. Miguel Andujar drove in three runs with a double and a single. Johan Oviedo (9-14) limited Chicago to four hits over six scoreless innings.
L.A. DODGERS 7 – San Francisco 2… The Dodgers took advantage of some sloppy play to down the Giants. J.D. Martinez had a couple of hits, including a solo homer, and drove in three runs. Chris Taylor’s two hits included a run-scoring single.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
TAMPA BAY 5 – L.A. Angels 4… Isaac Paredes and Manuel Margo produced run-scoring singles in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Rays over the Angels.
Paredes also doubled home the game’s first run in the first inning and Margot added an RBI double in the fifth.
N.Y. YANKEES 5 – Toronto 3… Gerrit Cole (14-4) allowed just a run on two hits in a dominating eight-inning effort and the Yankees fought off the Blue Jays. Jake Bauers blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning as New York built a 5-0 lead through seven innings.
CLEVELAND 5 – Baltimore 2… The Guardians pushed across three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to put away the Orioles after blowing a two-run lead in the top half. José Ramírez broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the fifth.
Detroit 7 – OAKLAND 3… Tarik Skubal (7-3) pitched two-hit ball and struck out 10 over seven scoreless innings in winning his fourth straight decision and the Tigers handled the Athletics. Andy Ibañez tripled home one run and singled home another.
