MIAMI 4 – N.Y. Mets 3… Jake Burger singled home Joey Wendle with the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning for the Marlins after the Mets scored twice in the top half to tie it. Josh Bell doubled home a tying run in the third inning.

ATLANTA 9 – Philadelphia 3… Ronald Acuña had three hits, including a pair of solo homers, and the Braves rolled past the Phillies. Marcell Ozuna went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Spencer Strider (18-5) allowed three runs on four hits and struck out 11 over seven innings.

Milwaukee 7 – ST. LOUIS 3… Tyrone Taylor doubled home a go-ahead run during a four-run top of the fourth inning that carried the Brewers past the Cardinals. William Contreras homered with the bases empty. Wily Adames had a couple of hits and an RBI.

CHI. CUBS 14 – Pittsburgh 1… Alexander Canario doubled home a run and unloaded a grand slam to lead the Cubs in their dismantling of the Pirates. Cody Bellinger blasted a three-run homer, Dansby Swanson homered with a runner aboard and Seiya Suzuki smacked a solo shot.

SAN DIEGO 2 – COLORADO 0… Xavier Bogaerts’ two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning accounted for the game’s only offense and sent the Padres past the Rockies. San Diego starter Blake Snell pitched seven no-hit innings and struck out 10. His counterpart, Ryan Feltner, tossed two-hit ball over five innings.

ARIZONA 8 – San Francisco 4… The Diamondbacks doubled up on the Giants after spotting them an early two-run lead. Corbin Carroll lined a go-ahead two-run double in the bottom of the second inning. Ketel Marte produced a two-run single.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
TAMPA BAY 6 – L.A. Angels 2… Osleivis Basabe lined a tie-breaking two-run double and Rene Pinto singled home two more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Rays buried the Angels. Randy Arozarena homered with a runner aboard.

Toronto 7 – N.Y. YANKEES 1… Yusei Kikuchi (10-6) limited the Yankees to a run on four hits over five innings and four relievers shut the door as the Blue Jays breezed to the win. Bo Bichette and Alejandro Kirk hit two-run homers. George Springer’s 20th homer came with the bases empty.

KANSAS CITY 7 – Cleveland 6… The Royals built a five-run lead through five innings and held off the Guardians. MJ Melendez homered with a runner aboard in the bottom of the first inning and singled home a run in the second. Nick Loftin drove in two runs with a pair of infield singles.

TEXAS 6 – Boston 4… Leody Taveras singled home Jonah Heim with a go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Rangers went on to down the Red Sox. Heim had a couple of hits and a pair of RBIs. Adolis Garcia smacked a solo homer.

Baltimore 9 – HOUSTON 4… Austin Hayes homered twice and knocked in four runs to help power the Orioles past the Astros. Ryan O’Hearn hit a two-run shot and Heston Kjerstad added a solo blast.

Seattle 7 – OAKLAND 2… Luis Castillo (14-7) held the Athletics to two runs on five hits over seven innings and the Mariners breezed to the victory. J.P. Crawford doubled home a run and homered with the bases empty. Jared Kelenic contributed a two-run single.

INTERLEAGUE
Minnesota 7 – CINCINNATI 0… Kenta Maeda pitched one-hit ball over five innings and four Twins relievers completed the shutout of the Reds. Willi Castro hit a two-run homer. Ryan Jeffers added a solo shot.

WASHINGTON 4 – Chi. White Sox 3… Joey Menesez belted a go-ahead three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Nationals held on to edge the White Sox. Lane Thomas time the game with a sixth-inning sacrifice fly.

L.A. DODGERS 3 – Detroit 2… The Dodgers came from two runs down to top the Tigers. Max Muncy singled home Mookie Betts with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. David Peralta doubled home Chris Taylor with a tying run in the eighth. J.D. Martinez put L.A. on the board with a homer to lead off the fourth.
