MLB Scores Sunday 9-10

NATIONAL LEAGUE
Miami 5 – PHILADELPHIA 4… The Marlins erased a 3-0 deficit after six innings to upend the Phillies.  Bryan De La Cruz’s two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning provided the winning margin. Yuli Gurriel doubled home Miami’s first two runs and scored on Nick Fontes’ single in the seventh.

L.A. Dodgers 7 – WASHINGTON 3…Jason Heyward singled home a pair of runs in the top of the first inning, James Outman homered to lead off the second and the Dodgers cruised past the Nationals. Miguel Rojas went 4-for-5 with an RBI single.

ATLANTA 5 – Pittsburgh 2… Ronald Acuña Jr. delivered a go-ahead two-run single and Matt Olson singled home two more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Braves eased past the Pirates. Olson’s infield grounder brought home Ozzie Albies with Atlanta’s first run in the sixth.

CINCINNATI 7 – St. Louis 1… Hunter Greene (4-6) limited the Cardinals to an unearned run on one hit over six innings and the Reds breezed to the win. Jonathan India, Will Benson, TJ Friedl and Joey Votto smacked solo homers for Cincinnati.

CHI. CUBS 5 – Arizona 2… Dansby Swanson homered with the bases empty and singled home a run as the Cubs squeezed past the Diamondbacks. Christopher Morel and Cody Bellinger also hit solo homers. Kyle Hendricks (6-7) surrendered two runs on seven hits over 5-2/3 innings.

SAN FRANCISCO 6 – Colorado 3… The Giants cruised past the Rockies after spotting them a three-run lead. Thairo Estrada tied the game with a leadoff homer and Mitch Hanigar added a two run shot in the bottom of the third inning. Joc Pederson also went deep for San Francisco.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
DETROIT 3 – Chi. White Sox 2… Spencer Torkelson doubled home two runs and scored on Andre Lipcius’ single as the Tigers scored all three runs in the bottom of the third inning and held off the White Sox. Sawyer Gipson-Long (1-0) gave up just a run on four hits over five innings in winning his major-league debut.

TAMPA BAY 6 – Seattle 3… Harold Ramírez and Luke Raley produced two-run doubles and the Rays went on to double up on the Mariners. Zach Eflin (14-8) allowed three runs on seven hits over seven innings. Four Tampa Bay relievers shut the door.

BOSTON 7 – Baltimore 3… The Red Sox erased an early three-run deficit in downing the Orioles. Reese McGuire triple home a tying run and scored the go-ahead run on Rafael Devers’ infield single in the bottom of the fourth inning. Triston Casas belted a three-run homer in the sixth.

TORONTO 5 – Kansas City 2… Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Davis Schneider scored on wild pitches to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth inning and Kevin Kiermaier’s solo homer in the seventh gave the Blue Jays the lead for good in their win over the Royals. José Berríos (10-10) gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings.

TEXAS 9 – Oakland 4… The Rangers slugged their way past the Athletics after letting an early three-run lead slip away. Nathaniel Lowe came through with a go-ahead two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning. Marcus Semien scored the tie-breaking run and hit a pair of solo homers. Corey Seager also went deep for Texas.

L.A. ANGELS 2 – Cleveland 1… Randal Grichuk’s infield grounder scored Kyren Paris with a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the third inning and the Angels made it stand in edging the Guardians. Kenny Rosenberg (1-1) surrendered a run on six hits over five innings in outdueling counterpart Tanner Bibee (10-4).

INTERLEAGUE
N.Y. YANKEES 4 – Milwaukee 3 (13 innings)… The Yankees outlasted the Brewers in a contest that was scoreless through 10 innings. Kyle Higashioka doubled home Everson Pereira with the winning run in the bottom of the 13th inning. Oswaldo Cabrera tied the game with an 11th-inning double and Giancarlo Stanton hit a game-tying two-run homer in the 12th.

N.Y. Mets 2 – MINNESOTA 0… D.J. Stewart’s two-run double in the top of the ninth inning provided the game’s only offense as the Mets clipped the Twins. Reliever Brooks Raley worked a perfect bottom of the eighth inning to earn the victory. New York starter Tylor Megill pitched two-hit ball over five innings.

HOUSTON 12 – San Diego 2… Kyle Tucker legged out a pair of run-scoring triples to spark and cap an eight-run bottom of the sixth inning as the Astros buried the Padres. Jose Altuve homered with a runner aboard and was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. J.P. France (11-5) limited San Diego to a run on four hits over six innings.
