State Track Results Classes One And Two

Some area Track and Field athletes took home championship hardware from this weekend’s state meet in Jefferson City. Hayden Dickson from Schuyler County took first place in both the Discus and Shot Put. Milan’s Jeremy Bennett took the championship in the Long Jump and second place in the Triple Jump. Asher Buggs-Tipton of Green City won the championship in the 110 hurdles, 2nd in the 300 hurdles, 3rd in the long jump, and 7th in the 100 meters. Kaitlyn Hatfield of Schuyler County took first place in the discus and 4th in the shot put. Her teammates, Madison Haley and Claudia Dixon took 5th and 7th respectively in that event. Knox County’s Jennifer Hinkle took the first place medal in the Javelin. Kylie Magers of Atlanta finished 2nd in the high jump, 3rd in the long jump and 5th in the triple jump. Atlanta’s Landon Gilliland finished 2nd in the boys triple jump, Nate Triplett from Brashear was 6th in the shot put. Jake Rouse from Putnam County was 3rd in the Pole Vault.
