NATIONAL LEAGUE
MIAMI 4 – Chi. Cubs 3… Luis Arraez singled home a run in the bottom of the third inning and lifted a sacrifice fly to score Jon Berti with the decisive run in the eighth to push the Marlins past the Cubs. Berti went 2-for-3 and scored twice.

WASHINGTON 7 – Pittsburgh 2… Jeimer Candelario and Victor Robles stroked two-run doubles, Luis Garcia added a two-run single and the Nationals cruised past the Pirates. Josiah Gray (2-4) surrendered a run on three hits over six innings.

COLORADO 12 – Arizona 4… C.J. Cron belted a three-run homer and singled home a run to lead the Rockies in their thrashing of the Diamondbacks. Austin Gomber (2-4) surrendered just a run on three hits over six innings.

SAN DIEGO 6 – San Francisco 4… The Padres rallied past the Giants after spotting them a four-run lead. Jake Cronenworth singled home a tying run and Matt Carpenter followed with a two-run double during a three-run bottom of the eighth inning. Austin Nola hit a two-run homer and Juan Soto singled home a run in the fifth.

L.A. DODGERS 6 – St. Louis 3… Will Smith raced home with a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the fifth inning and the Dodgers scored twice more on an infield grounder and sacrifice fly to put away the Cardinals. Chris Taylor had a couple of hits, including an RBI double.

Atlanta – N.Y. METS (ppd)… Rain in New York forced postponement of yesterday’s Braves-Mets game. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader today.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
BOSTON 7 – Cleveland 1… Alex Verdugo lined a two-run single and homered to lead the Red Sox in their romp over the Guardians. Connor Wong homered with a runner aboard and Christian Arroyo capped the scoring with a two-run double. Chris Sale (2-2) gave up a run on three hits over 6-1/3 innings.

Seattle 10 – TORONTO 8 (10 innings)… Cal Raleigh hit his second two-run homer of the game in the top of the 10th inning to power the Mariners past the Blue Jays. J.P. Crawford forced the extra inning with a game-tying RBI single in the ninth. Taylor Trammel unloaded a grand slam and Teoscar Hernández smacked a solo shot for Seattle.

Baltimore 5 – DETROIT 3… Four relievers blanked the Tigers on one hit over the final 4-1/3 innings and the Orioles topped the Tigers. Adam Frazier and Jorge Mateo hit solo homers for Baltimore.

MINNESOTA 8 – Kansas City 4… Byron Buxton’s three-run homer capped a seven-run bottom of the third inning and the Twins went on to double up on the Royals. Sonny Gray (4-0) allowed just a run on five hits over six innings.

TEXAS 15 – N.Y. Yankees 2… Josh Jung unloaded a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning and the Rangers never looked back in their shellacking of the Yankees. Nathaniel Lowe added a two-run blast and Texas got solo shots from Adolis García and Jonah Heim.

CHI. WHITE SOX 12 – Tampa Bay 9… The White Sox came from four runs down in the bottom of the ninth inning to upend the Rays. Andrew Vaughn’s connected for a walkoff three-run homer to complete a seven-run uprising. Yasmani Grandal homered with a runner aboard for Chicago. Eloy Jimenez went 4-for-5 and scored a run.

INTERLEAGUE
L.A. Angels 3 – MILWAUKEE 0… Jose Suarez (1-1) pitched two-hit ball over five innings and three Angels relievers completed the shutout of the Brewers. Jake Lamb and Shohei Ohtani hit solo homers for L.A.

OAKLAND 5 – Cincinnati 4… Esteury Ruiz singled home Jace Peterson in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Athletics a walkoff win over the Reds. Jesus Aguilar homered with a runner aboard. Brent Rooker homered and lifted a sacrifice fly.

HOUSTON 4 – Philadelphia 3… Kyle Tucker’s run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning proved decisive in the Astros’ win over the Phillies. Jake Meyers smacked a solo homer in the fourth. Jose Urquidy (2-2) allowed two runs on three hits over 5-1/3 innings.
