NHL scores Monday 4-10

NHL SCOREBOARD
Dallas 6 – DETROIT 1… Roope Hintz scored a goal and assisted on three others as the Stars breezed past the Red Wings. Jason Robertson added a goal and an assist.

Toronto 2 – FLORIDA 1 (OT)… John Tavares found the net with 21.2 seconds left in overtime and the Maple Leafs ended the Panthers’ six-game winning streak. Ilya Samsonov stopped 46 shots at goal.

Buffalo 3 – N.Y. RANGERS 2 (SO)… Owen Power and Casey Mittelstadt scored in the shootout to send the Sabres past the Rangers. Mittelstadt also scored a tying goal in the third period. JJ Peterka also scored for Buffalo.

OTTAWA 3 – Carolina 2… Claude Giroux’s second goal of the game broke a tie midway through the third period and the Senators held on to edge the Hurricanes. Tim Stutzle added a goal and an assist. Goalie Mads Sogaard made 27 saves.

WASHINGTON 5 – N.Y. Islanders 2… The Capitals scored three unanswered goals in the first period on their way past the Islanders. Dylan Strome netted two goals. Craig Smith had a goal and an assist. Darcy Kuemper stopped 38 shots at goal.

WINNIPEG 6 – San Jose 2… The Jets continued their pursuit of playoff spot by skating past the Sharks. Josh Morrissey scored a goal and assisted on two others. Adam Lowry added a goal and an assist.

Minnesota 4 – CHICAGO 2…  Marcus Johansson scored two of the Wild’s three unanswered goals in the third period in the defeat of the Blackhawks. Johansson also assisted on Matt Boldy’s first-period goal. Goalie Filip Gustavsson made 40 saves.

Nashville 3 – CALGARY 2 (SO)… Shootout goals by Cody Glass and Tommy Novak sent the Predators past the Flames. Egor Afanasyev and Zach Sanford scored in regulation for Nashville.

Seattle 4 – ARIZONA 1… Olive Bjorkstrand scored the first of three straight second-period goals on a power play as the Kraken spurted past the Coyotes. Justin Schultz and Jared McCann each had a goal and an assist.

LOS ANGELES 3 – Vancouver 0… Kings goalie Joonas Korpisalo faced only 20 shots in shutting out the Canucks. Arthur Kaliyev netted the only goal Los Angeles needed in the second period. Vladislav Gavrikov scored in the third and Drew Doughty added an empty-netter.
